Karen's Radio Debut

I’m very excited — and also just a little bit nervous — to say that I’ll be on Lichfield Radio on Thursday 1st October at 1pm, joining Davide Cioffe, aka Travelling Dave, on Hangry Lunchtime.

I’ll be talking about Curborough Academy for Social Sciences (CASS), why I started it, what we are trying to create, and some of the courses and opportunities we are developing. I’ll also get to introduce one of my favourite tracks, which may have been almost as difficult to choose as starting the business itself!

One of the things I particularly like about Lichfield Radio is its “Accentuate the Positive” ethos. The station places a real emphasis on local people, community stories, events, charities and organisations across Lichfield, Burntwood and the surrounding villages, and that feels very closely aligned with what I want CASS to be about too: education that is rooted in people, opportunity and the local community.

So, if you happen to be free at 1pm on Thursday 1st October, do tune in.

I’m genuinely looking forward to it — although I reserve the right to become increasingly nervous as Thursday gets closer!
