SEG Awards Level 1 Award in Mental Health and Wellbeing Awareness

This short course is ideal for beginners who want to explore mental health as a potential pathway into a new career, those who want to deepen their understanding of mental health, or learners undertaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Our experienced tutors will guide you through a structured workbook as you develop your understanding of common mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety. You will also explore the impact of substance misuse, consider what we mean by wellbeing, and look at practical ways to support your own wellbeing and that of others.

Course deliver

The course is delivered over one online session, lasting 7 hours (with breaks)

On successful completion, learners may wish to progress to our Level 2 Award in Counselling Skills.

This course will run several times throughout the academic year, and we aim to expand the range of progression opportunities available as the year develops.
